Cardiff Tibetan Buddhist Centre, 250 Cowbridge Road East, Canton, Cardiff CF5 1GZ.
Our centre in Cardiff is conveniently located near the centre of the city, a 25 minute walk from Cardiff Central train station and well served by public transport.
We have a large, traditional Tibetan-style meditation room, where we conduct regular Vajrayana meditations and formal Buddhist meditation practice and teachings. The shrine room is open during the week before and after teaching events, and by appointment.
In addition we have a comfortable lounge area with a Buddhist library and shop stocked with Buddhist and craft items and incense from Nepal and India.
We have a large conference/lecture room which seats 50 people, two tastefully appointed and spacious therapy rooms and tea/coffee making facilities.
All our rooms are available to hire at reasonable rates. They are a perfect idea for therapists or local community groups seeking to establish a base in the city. If you are interested in room hire then please contact us.
The centre is open during the week for visits and complementary therapies, as well as for courses and retreats when these are running. If you would like to make a special visit, then please get in touch and we will help facilitate this.We welcome educational/school visits and community groups wishing to learn more about authentic Buddhist life, teaching and practice.
The centre does not have its own accommodation but there are plenty of options in the area.
